Spencer Kall is an artist from Connecticut, currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a printmaking concentration at Montserrat College of Art. His work has been featured in shows in and around the North Shore, Boston, and Connecticut. He has also curated two shows at Montserrat, featuring work from Will Barnet, Paul Scott, and others. Spencer’s time at Montserrat has been an influential experience, enabling him to deeply connect with the history of art, painting and drawing from the late 19th century to contemporary art.  Influenced by the legacy of Hans Hofmann and the rich history of printmaking, Spencer’s art resonates with a commitment to empathy and expressive clarity. His recent pieces blend representation and abstraction, creating work that raises above either definition.
